- Not be a registered sex offender
- Have never been banned from Nous for Terms violations
- Use your real identity (no fake profiles)

- Notify us of unauthorized access immediately
- Use the app in good faith
Your Account

You create an account using your phone number or email via Clerk (our third-party authentication provider). You’re responsible for maintaining the security of your login credentials.Account Termination

- Engage in fraudulent activity
- Harass or harm other users
- Impersonate others
Acceptable Use
Allowed- Creating one genuine account for yourself
- Using daily reflection features honestly
- Communicating authentically with matches
- Using AI features as a suggestion tool (not to generate messages you send as your own)
- Sharing Caring Moments with your matches
- Multiple accounts
- Fake, misleading, or impersonating profiles
- Using another person’s photos without consent
- Sending spam, commercial solicitation, or chain messages
- Harassment, threats, hate speech, or bullying
- Sharing explicit, violent, or illegal content
- Using bots, automation, or scripts without permission
- Attempting to extract user data through any means
- Using Nous to recruit users to another platform
- Requesting or sending money to other users
- Posting personal information of others without consent (doxing)
Content & Intellectual Property
Your Content
You own the content you create (reflections, photos, messages). By posting content, you:- Grant us a limited license to use it to provide our services
- Represent that you have the right to share it
- Agree it doesn’t violate third-party rights
Our Content
Nous name, logo, and original design elements are our intellectual property. You may not use them without permission.Feedback

Nous AI features are designed to assist authentic human connection. We are committed to the Anti-Chatfishing principles:- AI suggestions are always user-initiated
- AI messages are always labeled
- AI never sends messages on your behalf without your explicit action
- You can disable AI at any time
Your Commitment
You agree not to:- Use AI to generate messages you pass off as your own
- Create fake conversations or relationships
- Use the 3-way chat to deceive
Subscriptions & Payments
Billing
Nous+ and Soulmate subscriptions are billed recurring (monthly or annually). Relationship Mode is billed monthly per couple.Pricing Changes
We may change pricing with 30 days notice before the next billing cycle. Price changes apply to renewals, not current periods.Refunds
30-day money-back guarantee, no questions asked. After 30 days, refunds are at our discretion.Cancellation

3-way chat), the accuracy of user-provided information, or third-party service failures.

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Nous’s total liability for any claim arising from your use
of the app is limited to the amount you paid us (if anything) in the 12 months before the claim.
We’re not liable for indirect, incidental, consequential, or punitive damages.

If informal resolution fails, any dispute will be settled by binding arbitration in San Francisco,
California, per the rules of the American Arbitration Association. You may bring claims in small
